Kasuga village (春日の里).

This woodblock print by Nishijima Katsuyuki captures a serene view of the village of Kasuga. The composition features traditional Japanese houses with distinctively dark blue-tiled roofs, set against a backdrop of lush mountains under a sky streaked with delicate clouds. Flourishing pink and yellow blossoms add a vibrant contrast to the scene, emphasizing the peaceful coexistence of nature and rural architecture.
Unfortunately, due to the numerous villages, towns, and districts named Kasuga in Japan, it is difficult to pinpoint the exact location depicted by Nishijima in this artwork. However, given its historical, architectural, and literary significance, it could be hypothesized to be a district in modern-day Nara.
